Our athlete Ruslan Akhmetov achieved great success in his first participation at The Bristol Open 2024, held on 19-20 October in the UK with 1,760 athletes from 17 countries. Competing in the Light Contact Older Cadet -63kg category, Ruslan won the Silver Medal for Cyprus. Marat Akhmetov also had a strong performance, placing 5th in both Senior Light Contact -63kg and Senior Point Fighting -63kg. He gained valuable experience for future competitions. We also thank Farid Akhmetov for coaching the Cypriot team and contributing to the event's success. We are proud of our athletes' efforts and sportsmanship.

The Spring Taekwondo Camp took place from 12th to 14th April 2024 in Paphos, Cyprus, with Grandmasters Yalamas and Nardizzi. Athletes of all levels had the chance to train with these esteemed instructors, focusing on technical skills, sparring, and conditioning. The camp provided valuable insights and improved Taekwondo techniques, offering participants an enriching experience. It was a successful event that helped elevate the skills of all those involved.
EUROPEAN CUP ZAGREB OPEN 2024

The Cypriot team had another great performance at the European Cup Kickboxing "EUROPEAN CUP ZAGREB OPEN 2024" in Croatia. Our athlete Rafaella Aristotelous won a Gold Medal in the Junior Light Contact +70kg category, a Silver Medal in Junior Point Fighting +70kg, and a Bronze Medal in the Senior Women’s Light Contact +70kg category. A notable performance also came from our athlete Neil Bailey (coached by Mikey Mair), who fought hard and finished 5th in the Light Contact Older Cadet -63kg category. Congratulations to both athletes for representing our country proudly at the European Championships.

Rafaella Aristotelous won 2 Gold Medals in Junior and Senior Light Contact +70kg and a Bronze Medal in Point Fighting. She dominated all her matches, winning 3-0 in both categories. Alex Georgiadis and Nikolas Konomi fought hard and gained valuable experience for future international competitions. Congratulations to all three athletes. A special thank you to the Cyprus Electricity Authority for their support and sponsorship, which was key to Rafaella's success at the Athens Challenge!

The ITF Taekwondo Training Camp, led by Oleg Solovey, recently took place in Ayia Napa. Local athletes had the chance to train with a top coach, focusing on technical skills, conditioning, and mental preparation. Under Oleg Solovey's guidance, participants improved their abilities, pushing their limits and gaining valuable insights for future competitions. It was a successful camp that helped elevate the skills of all those involved, strengthening Taekwondo in Cyprus.

The Cypriot team achieved great success at the World Kickboxing Cup in Italy. Rafaella Aristotelous won two Gold Medals in LC-70kg and LC+70kg, and a Bronze in Point Fighting -70kg. Stefanos Psaras, coached by Giorgos Konstantinou, secured a Gold in K1-67kg. Alexandros Mavrommatis earned two Silver Medals in KL and PF at the International Kickboxing University Championship. We are also proud of Alex Georgiadis, who placed 5th in LC-74kg and 9th in LC-69kg, and Ioanna Fafali, who took two 9th places in PF-65kg and PF-70kg. Congratulations to all for their efforts and strong performances. We look forward to new challenges in the coming year.

Our athlete, Rafaella Aristotelous, achieved a great victory at the World Kickboxing Championships in Hungary. She reached the top by winning a Gold Medal in Light Contact +70kg, and two Silver Medals in LC-70kg and Point Fighting -70kg. Rafaella, a fighter with high goals and expectations, battled with strength and, most importantly, spirit against top athletes! Our athlete, Corina Constantinou, also had an impressive performance, fighting strongly and coming very close (twice) to a bronze medal, finishing in two honorable 5th places. These results add valuable points to her World Ranking. We look forward to even greater successes from both of our athletes. CONGRATULATIONS RAFAELLA & KORINA!

8 medals were brought home from our mission to the WAKO Athens challenge. Rafaella Aristotelous after an excellent performance managed to step on the highest step on the podium 2 times in the Cup, the 15 y.o. athlete won 2 Gold medals for the Junior and Senior Light Contact as well as a Silver and Bronze medal. Alexandros Mavrommatis won a Silver Medal

In the cup participated in total 32 Nations and 1418 athletes. Rafaella Aristotelous brought home a Gold and 2 Silver Medals. Alexandros Mavrommatis won a Silver medal and Corina Constantinou got two 5th places.

6 students. 2 Bronze medals. In the cup participated in total 52 Nations and 1304 athletes. The hardest event we have experienced until now. Rafaella Aristotelous and Themis Themistokleous made us proud by coming in 3rd in sparring. The rest of the team performed excellent as well.

Local Umpire Course

We had the pleasure of hosting a local Umpire Course at our school which was taught by Master Harry Vones (8th Dan). The course lasted for 6 hours, and we learned a lot like how to score for tuls and sparring as well as recent changes to the rules and how to control the computer system.
